Charice In Success Magazine
The September, 2009 issue of the SUCCESS Magazine shows 15-time Grammy Winnder, David Foster, solo in its cover. The man is best remembered by Filipino-blooded ones as the one responsible for giving our Charice the giant exposures (next to super talk show talkers, Oprah and Ellen de Generes) in her young singing career. Flipping through the pages of the magazine though and prominently printed on the right side, specifically page 49 – is Charice’s photo with dedicated article about her, that occupied almost 90% of the page. In contrast, at the top (the remaining 10% of the space) of Charice’s page is a banner line up of photos shared by Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Paul Anka and Merv Grifin.

Charice’s article is sub-titled ‘Voice Heard Round The World’ which quoted her saying, in part, that she considers David Foster as her mentor. “He has helped me with my singing and English, helping me with my voice, always teaching me…He is really nice.”

Among other things, the article also mentioned that David is producing an album with her, due out this year.

The article closed with a line that says like this – “If the past is any indication, the hit man (David Foster) will deliver – and a star will be born (our Charice).
