After a long absence in the US, Ai-ai De Las Alas (together with the Concert Queen of the Philippines, Pops Fernandez) will be seen LIVE on July 3rd at the Grand Theater of the Grand Sierra Resort Casino in Reno, Nevada. Aptly entitled "UNSTOPPABLE", her newest show promises non-stop laughter and pure family entertainment.

Ai-ai de las Alas has done it all. She has shaped the industry with her uncanny ability to make people laugh and different style of comedy. She has delivered when it counts. Often imitated but never duplicated – that’s how followers describe her simply. Ai-Ai, the Comedy Queen of the Philippines has all but nothing to prove. The most recent Best Actress winner in the 37th MMFF has been the subject of limelight in all aspects of the industry. Still, she remains complacent and unmoved by any of these.

Worthy is the Lamb

Crossroads Christian Center (CCC) in Daly City presented a very anointed passion play, "Worthy is the Lamb" last Resurrection Sunday. This is the second annual tradition of love at CCC. Many people were blessed to see the heart-stirring play written and directed by Kristoffer Earl Dizon. The role of Jesus was portrayed by Armando Vanegas.

The production was a diligent collaboration of different ministries in the church. The play showed various scenes in the life of Jesus - His ministry, compassion for children and all kinds of people, awesome miracles, sufferings on the Cross, resurrection and His triumphant return. There were moments of great awe especially during the passion scenes of Jesus' suffering and crucifixion as the audience could see and feel the lash of the whip and the sound of the nails being hammered to our Savior's hands and feet. It brought tears in the eyes of many as people came to realize how much pain Jesus had to bear because of His great love for all of us.

TFC's Barangay USA's Angelo Barga entertains a sizable crowd with Immigration Lawyer Lou Tancinco during last Saturday's 1st year anniversary of Seasons Marketplace Landess in Milpitas.

The play showed the glorious resurrection of our Lord who appeared to Mary and the disciples who were overwhelmed with joy. It culminated in the triumphant return of Jesus as the King of kings and Lord of lords. With the background song, "Worthy is the Lamb," it was so touching to end the play in a scene in heaven when the angels andevery creature will one day crown the Lamb upon the throne with many crowns.What a blessed hope for all those who have put their trust in Jesus as their Lordand personal Savior! We will all fall down and worship Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

Briefs & shorts La Salle’s 100th Year

The De La Salle Alumni Association is holding a series of Board of Directors planning meetings to prepare for the year-long event of La Salle's centennial. So, stay tuned.

Congratulations to Kervin Paul Masiddo, center, of Brentwood who graduated with an Associate of Science Degree in Biology at the Los Medanos College in Pittsburg with an Honor Scholar Medal (the highest and most prestigious school recognition). He will pursue further degree studies at UC Davis taking up Cellular Biology this coming Fall semester.

I wasn’t even aware a bit until Girlee Mendiola of San Jose sent me a Facebook message looking for Justin Bieber (yes, that bratty Canadian teener who tries to sing and who was recently in the news for manhandling autograph-seekers all over Asia, including the Philippines) ‘College Track Benefit 2011’ concert tickets happening at the Mountain Winery, Saratoga, CA on Saturday, 08:30 PM, Jun 11, 2011. I tried looking online and available tickets are priced at $1,500.00 a piece. Whoa!
